Butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and stir until they are melted.
Stir in the vanilla and salt, then add all of the Rice Krispies cereal. Fold the cereal and marshmallows in until all of the cereal is fully coated.
Transfer the coated cereal to your prepared pan. Then I have always put some soft butter on my hands and I pressed the Rice Krispies cereal down until it is an even layer.
Set the treats out and let them cool and set for about 1-2 hours before slicing into small rectangles or squares for dipping. (Really you can slice them anyway you would like)
Place your chocolate chips into a small microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second increments. Stir between each heating until the chips are melted and smooth.
Dip each sliced Rice Krispies treat into the melted chocolate then set aside on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with Valentine day sprinkles.
Let the chocolate dry at room temperature (do not refrigerate) for up to 2 hours
I hope you love them as much as we do!
