Ooey Gooey Fluffernutter Rice Krispie Treats
I am sure you all grew up loving Rice Krispie Treats. I made these often as my kids were growing up. Your family is going to Love, Love, Love, these Fluffernutter Rice Krispie Bars.
I love to experiment with recipes and add a little something to make recipes even better. This Fluffernutter Rice Krispie Bar Recipe we are taking to a whole new level today! They are just as easy to make but so soft, and gooey when you add Marshmallow Fluff instead of marshmallows and Peanut Butter.

WHERE DID FLUFFERNUTTER COME FROM?
First appearing as “Liberty Sandwiches”, the Fluffernutter recipe dates back to 1918 by Massachusetts native, Emma Curtis. That Fluffernutter recipe described: “slices of ‘war bread’, spread with peanut butter and marshmallow creme; cut into triangles and served as dainty sandwiches.”
Marshmallow fluff is used in lots of desserts recipes. When it is paired with peanut butter it creates the iconic “fluffernutter” flavor.
For this recipe, you will need to buy marshmallow fluff at the grocery store. Any brand works. Marshmallow fluff can be stored in a pantry or cupboard at room temperature.

- Peanut Butter

Just in case you have extras left…..you can store Fluffernutter Rice Krispie Bars in an airtight container at room temperature. They will last up to 3vdays!

Ingredients
- 6 cups rice krispies
- 6 tbsps unsalted butter
- 6 cups mini marshmallows (divided)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 7.5 ounce container of Marshmallow Fluff
Instructions
- Into a 9×13 baking pan spread a piece of parchment paper so that the edges hang over the sides of the pan, and then spray with nonstick spray.
- Pour Rice Krispies into a large bowl and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add 4 cups mini marshmallows and heat, stirring frequently, until melted and mostly combined
- Turn off heat, add peanut butter and stir to combine.
- Immediately pour peanut butter mixture into the bowl of Rice Krispies, add Fluff and remaining 2 cups mini marshmallows and stir to coat and combine.
- Turn out into prepared baking dish and press down into an even layer.
- Let set for at least 15 minutes, and then slice into 12 large bars. Serve and enjoy!
