Kids Love This… How to Make Jello Worms

Our family loves Halloween. We had a huge farmhouse while we were raising our own kids and we raised lots of foster kids. We were way out in the country and we had a HUGE PARTY just for our family and friends. I had a big box of costumes I added to each year so everyone could choose what they wanted to be. We would put makeup on them and made so many memories.

We had lots of decorations and these Jello Worms would have been fun to make and put everywhere. The kids would have loved it.

We always had lots of fun food, and games. We even broke a pinata so the kids all scrambled for candy.

This recipe is so simple, let me show you how to make gummy worms with just Jell-o mix, plain gelatin, and whipping cream!

Get your kids involved and let them choose their favorite Jello-o Flavors and help make some.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED……

  • 125 Flexible Straws or this Gummy Worm Mold.
  • 1 package Raspberry Jello
  • Whipping Cream
  • Green Food Coloring
  • 3 packages Unflavoured Gelatin
  • 1 Mason Jar
  • A Rolling Pin

You can use any flavor or color of Jell-O you like, but red and orange flavors make the most realistic worms.

You could use a small dropper syringe to make it easier to fill the molds.

To remove the worms from the straws, use a rolling pin.  All you do is slowly press from the empty end of the straw, rolling until the worm squeezed out.

DID YOU KNOW THAT GELATIN IS GOOD FOR YOU?

  • It is a great source of dietary collagen and it contains certain amino acids that are beneficial to muscle growth.
  • It supports joints and can aid in recovery from a joint related injury.
  • Gelatin helps hair, nail, and skin growth and can tighten up loose skin!!
  • It is also great for digestion and liver function.

For quick and easy serving, just put your worms in a bowl and hand them out! Make these crawling Jell-O worms to serve at your next Halloween party.
