I love making Christmas treats to bring to family, neighbors, and friends. I have decided to celebrate Christmas this year MUCH more simpler that usual. Usually I am running all over the place trying to get gifts and then getting them mailed, or wrapped and put under the tree.

Sometimes we get so busy we forget to enjoy the little things of Christmas like ice skating, building a snowman, sledding, or have your family join USPS Holiday Santa and make Christmas even more magical, and of course my favorite baking.

I love when my grandkids come over for a day to make Christmas goodies. Today I am sharing a delicious recipe that your family and friends will love.

I am warning you, you will not be able to eat just one piece of this Graham Cracker Toffee Bars. You better make two batches just to be safe.

Graham cracker toffee, is a classic homemade holiday candy that’s so easy, anyone can make it!

Christmas crack is typically made with saltine crackers, but we decided to up the anti and use graham crackers this year.

Graham Cracker Toffee is such a great recipe! Make sure you add it to your Christmas Recipes as it will become a tradition every year.

INGREDIENTS…..

  • Graham crackers….any flavor.
  • Salted butter
  • Light brown sugar
  • Pecans

Ingredients
  

  • 14  whole graham cracker sheets
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a jelly roll pan (10"x15"x1") with aluminum foil. Lightly spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
    Arrange the graham crackers touching each other in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet; set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar over medium high heat. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, for 4-5 minutes.
    Pour the mixture evenly over the graham crackers. Carefully spread to cover as many crackers as you can.
  • Bake for 5 minutes then turn off the oven and remove the pan.
  • Top with chopped pecans and allow to sit at room temperature for 30-minutes. Place in the fridge to harden. Break into pieces and serve!
