Root Beer Glazed Ham Recipe

Root Beer Glazed Ham Recipe

Today I am sharing a delicious recipe for your Easter dinner. Ham for Easter has always been a staple in our family. Put a fun twist on a traditional Easter holiday ham this year with just a few ingredients. Add a special flavor to ham with this Easy Root Beer Ham Glaze.

Easter is almost here and it always brings back memories of a very Amazing Easter Egg Hunt our family was invited too.

We were went over to some friends of ours that had a big farm. They had big grills cooking all kinds of delicious food, chicken, sausage dogs, hamburgers, and all the trimmings. They had fires burning and games for everyone.

Then to everyone’s surprise an airplane flew over and there was the Easter Bunny throwing out tons of candy on their property. How fun was that? I am sure our own kids will not forget that.

Most hams you buy are fully cooked, and all you do is score the ham and, if you want, add a simple glaze. Plan on buying 3/4 pound of ham per person for a bone-in ham and 1/2 pound per person for boneless.

Root Beer Ham is very easy to cook in a crock pot or in your oven. If you are cooking in a crock pot make sure it is big enough.

Preheat your oven to 325 or 350 degrees F, and follow the directions on the package for how long to heat the ham before serving. Do not put the glaze on until the last 30 minutes for the most delicious ham you will ever make.

Ham cooked in root beer creates a savory-sweet ham glaze that caramelizes the edges of a spiral-cut ham, yet keeps the slices moist and tender!

You can use any variety of ham for Rootbeer Glazed Baked Ham. You can use bone-in ham, boneless ham, spiral-cut ham, or smoked whole ham.
